Harvey’s puppy looks quite pretty in a collar, I think.
“You didn’t tell me you were training him for a lead.” Jessica’s smooth fingers curled around the leash Harvey had handed her, tugging gently and Mike the good boy that he was crawled closer.
“I know you think you know everything about me, but there are still a few things I don’t tell you.” Harvey replied, sitting back arm extended across the back of the couch in Jessica’s office the lights of the city and dark of the night spreading out across the windows behind him.
Jessica raised an eyebrow at Harvey, fingers tightening just slightly on the leash, enough for Mike to notice the shift, the way it made him lean toward her just slightly. “You may not be my associate anymore Harvey, but remember I can always bring you to heel.” She said, it was a warning and yet said just as easily as if she’d been commenting on the weather.
Harvey cleared his throat, and if Mike had been looking anywhere than then fine point of Jessica’s heels he’d have seen the way Harvey bowed his head just slightly.
What he did see though was that smooth smile on Jessica’s face when she curled her finger under his chin and lifted his face. “Now,” She started, fingers curling into his hair a moment later. “Let’s see just how well Harvey’s trained you,” Mike swallowed, eyes wide and eager, ready for whatever it was that she wanted from him.
“Good boy.” He heard Harvey’s voice from behind him, let that fill his head as Jessica tugged him closer.
This is perfect and wonderful and OMG, I want more.
